silk laps:
an
incredible sheet-like preparation of silk fibres peeled off into thin layers,
fabulous for
felting or silk fusion. sizes are approximately 1.25 -
1.5 meter wide x 2 - 4 meter long. laps weigh anywhere between 100 gm to
300 gms. they are sold by weight at $0.3273 cents per gram (ie. 100 gm =
$32.73). please state how much you would like to spend $ and we will try
and send one closest to that amount. click

scarf lengths:
we are now cutting scarf lengths from the silk laps so that you can felt your
own silk lap scarf (finished length approx 105 –120 cm long x 17cm wide).
we recommend that you purchase two lengths and felt with the wool sandwiched in
between (should only take 15 gms of wool) to obtain a fabulous silky soft scarf.
each length weighs approx 25-35 gms. they are sold by weight at $0.3636 per gram (ie. 25gms =

velvet fabric
this beautiful fabric
is 20% silk and 80% viscose. we
uniquely hand dye it in a variety of solid colours, then twisted to dry leaving
a scrunched appearance to the fabric (maybe ironed out). felts
wonderfully.

tissue silk fabric
NEW! this
very fine lightweight 5mm pure silk georgette is of superb quality,
it will not run or snag and has a great handle, lovely for nuno
felting.
we hand dye it in a variety of solid colourways or in a selection of our
colour harmonies (1.5 meter minimum is suggested to get the full
harmony repeat).

colour nuances are an uniquely coloured, machine crafted range of superfine merino wool tops
(18.5 micron) that have been exclusively dyed to our exacting specifications.
We have pioneered a process which mimics a hand dyed look at a more affordable
price point. the range consists of 36 colours in total. for your
ease, we have created three palette within the range. there are
13 neutrals/pastels, 12 earth tones and 11 brights.

"hanky” is a degummed bombyx silk cocoon that has been stretched over
a square frame. each layer consists of a cobweb-like random
preparation of silk. several layers together become dense in

throwster's waste:
long spaghetti-like (degummed) bombyx silk filaments, fantastic for

silk paper instructions and adhesive
