for these unique colour tones we have used two analogous colours to create a subtle blending of colours starting at one selvedge and moving across to the other selvedge. in the first picture below, the colour 'nomad' is at the top of the photo and graduates downwards into the 'balsamic' colour at the bottom of the photo.  a unique feature of these colour tones for felters is when making a scarf, if you divide the fabric width wise into three sections (to make three scarves).  each scarf will be a subtly different colour.
